Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU)

BSMMU was established in 1965 as the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Research (IPGMR). In 1998, the Government of Bangladesh converted IPGMR into a medical university to expand the facilities for higher medical education and research in the country. BSMMU is named after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh

BSMMU is also a major tertiary level healthcare center in Bangladesh. The university hospital has a wide range of facilities and provides specialized healthcare services to patients from all over the country.
